As part of our mission to uplift and empower women from marginalized communities, we proudly launched the Roshini Skill Training Institute in Shamirpet Village in February 2018. This initiative was designed to provide a lifeline for single mothers and underprivileged women, offering them essential vocational training to secure sustainable livelihoods. At Roshini, we focus on equipping women with the practical skills necessary to succeed in today’s world. The training programs offered at the institute include tailoring, computer literacy, beauty parlour services, spoken English, and mobile phone repairs. These courses are carefully curated to cater to the specific needs of women who may not have had the opportunity to acquire formal education or professional training. Each skill learned here empowers these women to build a career, generate an income, and ultimately, support themselves and their families with confidence and dignity. Since the inception of the institute, we have proudly trained over 686 women, providing them not only with certificates that validate their newly acquired skills but also with the necessary tools and connections to secure employment opportunities. Our team actively works to bridge the gap between these women and potential employers, ensuring that the training they receive leads to tangible, long-term benefits in their lives. The success stories of these women serve as a testament to the transformative impact of skill development and empowerment.
As part of the broader curriculum, the Tailoring Training Program stands out as one of our most popular and impactful courses. In addition to the technical skills of sewing and garment-making, we offer a series of complementary programs aimed at fostering self-esteem, providing counseling, and delivering career guidance for young women. These sessions are designed to help them build confidence, identify their career paths, and take actionable steps toward achieving their personal and professional goals. Our support doesn't end with training. We also offer job placement assistance, connecting our graduates to employers and helping them secure stable employment in the industries they have been trained for. For many of these women, this is a crucial step toward achieving financial independence and escaping the cycle of poverty. We also conduct seminars on family values and life integration, aimed at helping these women balance their newly acquired skills with their responsibilities at home. These seminars provide insights into maintaining a harmonious family life while pursuing professional growth, fostering a healthy balance between work and personal well-being.
